i was a born in jw for 56 years and left in 2016. as far as i remember there was never any encouragement to help in the community in any way.
including soup kitchens, tutoring at schools, united way, etc.
People dont need hospitals, blankets, shelter, food. They need watchtowers.
I have heard it likened to giving jehovahs due to the world.

Here (USA, midwest- mountain) I have heard no one want to go back. Not pioneers or other bona fide ones.

Contrast ( self,) righteous and good. A CO I think gave a talk on it. I, my dad, brothers never have been righteous but all were and are good.
